Etsy Treasury: Ask a Question Day (Every Day is a Holiday)

Did you know that today is Ask a Question Day? Have you celebrated by asking a deep, philosophical question today? Or have you only asked simple questions that only demand simple answers, like a yes or no question? Will this entire blog post be made up of questions?

(Don’t worry, I’m not that sadistic. Or am I?)

Celebrating Ask a Question Day gives us the opportunity to do precisely that: Ask a question! Preferably one that you wouldn’t have asked otherwise, but there are no rules to this holiday as far as I know. Perhaps it’s a difficult question that was waiting for the right opportunity to be asked, or maybe you’ve just been wondering about something for a while and never got around to finding someone who could give you the answer. Everyone has questions that need answers, so there’s no reason for anyone to not celebrate! You probably already celebrated without even knowing by asking someone what time it was or asking your kids what they did in school today. That’s the beauty of a holiday like this: It would be next to impossible to NOT celebrate it!

Remember to take a closer look at the treasury and the featured items and shops. If you have any questions… well, you guessed it: just ask! Oh, and I nearly forgot… Have you seen the other Every Day is a Holiday treasuries that I have put together here? 😉

Etsy Treasury: Pack Your Lunch Day (Every Day is a Holiday)

Today’s holiday is Pack Your Lunch Day: a day to say “no” to going out for lunch, and instead bring it in from home. It’s obviously cheaper, and most times, it’s healthier, too.

Growing up, I usually brought my lunch to school in a lunch box like every other kid. By the time I was in 5th grade or so, lunch boxes had sorta gone out of fashion in favor of the simpler (though more wasteful) brown bag method. Pretty soon, it was just too much to remember to pack anything, so by the time I was in junior high I bought my lunch at the cafeteria just about every day.

Despite eventually abandoning bringing my own lunch to school, I do remember two of the lunch boxes I has as a kid, and I found them both on Etsy (I had the Smurf and Holly Hobbie boxes)! I can guarantee my friends had a few of the other featured boxes, like the Hulk and Peanuts. Take a stroll through the featured shops, since many of them have other vintage treasures that will bring back memories! And remember to click here for my other Every Day is a Holiday treasuries!

Etsy Treasury: Tooth Fairy Day (Every Day is a Holiday)

Parents often tell their kids all sorts of stories about mythical characters, but only a select few ever pay a visit directly to the home when the children are fast asleep. We all know Santa stops by every Christmas to bring toys to all the good girls and boys, but who visits a few times a year? Why, the tooth fairy, of course! The tradition of the tooth fairy can be traced all the way back to the middle ages, pre-dating Old Saint Nick himself!

Side note: Ever see Christopher Walken describe what the tooth fairy does? He does in this scene from The Rundown, and it’s classic.

So for Tooth Fairy Day, take a look at all these adorable finds that make celebrating your child losing a tooth a much more adorable and enjoyable experience for the whole family! You can also visit my other Every Day is a Holiday treasuries here!
