Ahhh, clam chowder. Or “chowdah” if you’re in Boston…;)
Clam chowder is a hearty soup made from clams, potato, and onion. If you’re a fan of the Manhattan variety, you add some tomato; if you’re a fan of the New England variety, you add cream instead. But let’s face it: New England clam chowder is more popular by far, hands down. It’s creamy and chunky and velvety and so incredibly comforting, especially in the cold, damp winters experienced in the northeast. And what better day to celebrate Clam Chowder Day than a frigid day like today! Go have yourself a cup of smooth, clammy heaven!
I knew there wouldn’t be a whole lot to be found on Etsy in regards to clam chowder, so I expanded my search criteria to include a few pieces that feature their star ingredient, clams! Take a look at the treasury, and see all the cute chowder- and clam-related items I found! And remember to take a look at my other Every Day is a Holiday treasuries here!

“Every Day is a Holiday” is my Etsy Treasury project for 2014. I’m hoping to find unique and beautiful items that exemplify the holiday of the day—the sillier and weirder, the better! What’s better than finding something worth celebrating each and every day?
