All the women in my family (and my father!) have had an affinity towards gardening and houseplants. I, however, did not inherit this. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing at all against plants, but for some reason I just can’t keep them alive for very long. I did manage to keep a few pothos plants alive for about two years, but even they eventually gave up and withered—and yes, I watered them! I currently have three tiny air plants (see the first item in the treasury), and as easy to care for as they are (they don’t even need soil!) I solemnly predict they won’t survive the year. 😦
When I saw Houseplant Appreciation Day listed as today’s holiday, I couldn’t help but choose to honor those who are true friends of the plant kingdom and keepers of the Green Thumb.
This treasury not only features actual plants, but items for the houseplant enthusiasts you all know and love… even a greeting card to thank your friend or neighbor for watering your leafy children while you were away!
So visit my treasury, feel free to comment, and don’t forget to visit some of the shops and items featured. Plus, remember to check out my other Every Day is a Holiday treasuries here._____
